Strategic Relationship Allows Leading Chinese Reseller

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, North Carolina, December 7, 2005 — Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), a leading global provider of wireless equipment and services, today announced an agreement with Shanghai Posts & Telecommunications Equipment Co., Ltd. (Shanghai Vision), a leading Chinese reseller of telecommunications equipment, to distribute Harris' TRuepoint™ microwave digital radios throughout China. This agreement further expands Harris' presence in the largest cellular market in the world. TRuepoint™, is the industry's most comprehensive platform for point-to-point wireless communications.

"The Chinese wireless market is poised for a rapid deployment of 3G wireless infrastructure," said Darryl Parker, vice president of International Sales and Services for Harris Corporation's Microwave Communications Division. "As a result, many wireless operators in China need a platform that can be easily and quickly deployed, and can deliver additional capacity and more advanced services in the future. TRuepoint™ is the ideal solution for this market, as it was designed to deliver voice, data and video services from a single platform."

TRuepoint digital radios have allowed Harris to successfully provide wireless backhaul and access capabilities to operators in China that would have previously required multiple radios and interfaces to achieve similar results. TRuepoint™ is the only platform in the industry that allows wireless operators to seamlessly move between PDH and SDH applications, while simultaneously delivering IP-based and TDM traffic. The product enables scaling from 4Mbps to 155Mbps depending on the needs of the specific application. It is this flexibility that allows wireless operators to use a single platform for all point-to-point wireless applications, thus significantly reducing operating and management expenses while delivering new services and increasing network capacity. With the combined flexibility and scalability of TRuepoint™, operators are able to add new services and grow their customer base with limited impact on network infrastructure.
