A critique on Doujin Culture
Birds of the same feather flock together. A load of ACG fans stick on ACG (sub-)forums and breed Doujin Culture. They would discuss the ACG productions, mingled with sex and violence. They will try to show others that their perusal is worthwhile. To me, that's shit.

It is hard to imagine ACG productions today is just like an empire with over 3000 edible women in the forbidden city. It is hardly acceptable that H-manga can be evolved to animation and screened in mainstream TV channels. Is it the outcome of open competition in Japan where the state never subsidizes the producers? There are simply too much low-cost crews casting out high-cost enterprise in the production force as a result of rent dissipation in which apparently perfect competition surfaces. Yup, it is all about the law of demand. We have hentai ACG fans, then we have hentai Doujin Culture, thus we have hentai suppliers.

ACG productions with educational values were a matter about 20 years old. In 1999, we have Ojamajo Doremi. In 2001, we have Princess Comet. In 2004, we have Rozen Maiden. In 2009, we have K-ON!. In 2011, we have Madoka Magica. In ascending time, the throughput of these productions is shrinking, plus rocketing elements of postmodernism and hedonism in alternate order. It is the result of Doujin Culture propagation since the identity of otaku goes metastatic. In reality, we observe meagre human interactions between our juvenile generations. They resort to the Internet for nearly everything of life. On the World Wide Web, we observe many online censorship directing against other ACG fans by another ACG fraternities. The term "Douijin" seems to be a label to those who are being fierce on the cyberworld while being silent on the work and study.

The emergence of Doujin Culture is alarming to the society on the whole. When we observe many Doujinshi and Cosplay instances in routine events in ACG settings, I would sigh: They are wasting a lot of time which could be used to devote themselves to research and development. What makes me even more sad is that, university professors abuse ACG, which should be a a leisure, to rationalize his Peter-Pan Syndrome, plus making low-nutrient thesis to pursue a tenure. They, especially Ian Condry, even act eulogistic by publishing a book called "The Soul of Anime: Collaborative Creativity and Japan's Media Success Story". I wanna clarify that Japanese ACG crews simply abuse their creativity in their own production where morality concerns is belittled. The so-called Media Success simply implies that Japanese's living standard is stooping, and contemporary ACG productions are just opium that are detrimental to the audience's virtue. I observe, at least in Hong Kong, ACG fans are getting more and more psychotic online by consuming the recent rotting ACG productions. They are being losers in the dog-eat-dog world simply because they feel complacent about their own nerdy life!

Get a life, Doujin Culture Activists. Stop wasting your time on ACG - such consumer goods - and equip yourself - as capital goods - with English proficiency and International vision. Entertainment is by no mean all parts of your life.
