Nike is set to join in on the e-commerce giant known as Amazon.com by selling products directly to consumers. [#ff0011]Part of this decision to give Nike more control over the product that is sold on the platform, which consists of a lot of counterfeit products from overseas. Brands that work directly with Amazon can point out fakes and have them removed from the site.[/#ff0011] Nike’s decision is great for their business for obvious reasons, but hurts their footwear retail partners such as Foot Locker and Finish Line; in fact, both companies stocks plunged after Nike’s deal with Amazon became known.
