Pompey’s Jack Whatmough takes Twitter by storm with ‘Jack Wilshere in a blond wig’ rebuff



Pompey defender Jack Whatmough has become a Twitter sensation - for looking like England midfielder Jack Wilshere.

Whatmough has become recognisable for his distinctive mop of hair after making the breakthrough at Fratton Park.

But Twitter users have now claimed the 18-year-old defender is, in fact, the Arsenal midfielder ‘in a blond wig’.

Whatmough yesterday insisted he couldn’t see the resemblance as he tweeted: ‘Why is everyone saying I look like Jack Wilshere with a blonde wig? Look nothing alike.’

Plenty of others disagree, though, judging by the on-line response.

Whatmough’s tweet has since been retweeted over 5,500 times and favourited on over 2,750 occasions.
