[英文慎入] JK羅琳回應舞台劇黑人妙麗選角一事
The Harry Potter play (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) has announced their casting decisions for the three lead characters in the upcoming play that finds the popular characters Harry Potter, Ron Weasly, and Hermione Granger all grown up. While this is a normal announcement for most, many people of the internet have a problem with one part of the casting.
Acclaimed actress Noma Dumezweni was cast as Hermione Weasley, and the color of her skin has been the talk of the town since the announcement Sunday night. [/size=5]
Dumezweni has won the Laurence Olivier Award for excellence in professional theatre, beating Benedict Cumberbatch. She's got game.

People got pretty stupid.
I won't dignify other haters with the free press.

Then Queen Rowling came on the scene, and everyone had to just shut up.

And a beautiful thing happened...
Fan art of a dark-skinned Hermione has been trending like crazy. Many people had already assumed Hermione was black based on Rowling's writing, not the movie representation. Others just hoped she or another female character would be.
Jolie A. Doggett writes, "This announcement is like the letter to Hogwarts that I've been waiting for my whole life.
Finally, after all these years of playing make-believe, there's a character in my favorite franchise that I can actually see myself in! A character who is likable and like me in almost all ways. Black Hermione is an actual dream come true."
Love it.
Praise the black Hermione we all want to see.
...is anyone buying me a ticket to London for next year?
