於 0759 時，一列往中環的列車在大窩口站準備開出時，其中一道車門未能關上

控制中心隨即讓列車停止服務，避免妨礙其他列車進出荃灣站，堵塞全綫車源

維修人員其後於車門的縫隙中，拾獲一粒佛珠，且懷疑車門因有外物卡住而故障

不久，葵芳站有乘客衝入車廂時，其個人物品被夾於車門之外，因而觸動月台門的光學感應器，將列車煞停，造成擠塞

如《服務範圍》所述，故障消息始終有賴乘客提供， 「港鐵故障消息」這個互助力量方能傳續，讓廣大乘客得悉鐵路的運行狀況

At 0759 hours, a pair of doors on a Central bound train was unable to close when the train was about to depart

The Operations Control Centre took the train out of service promptly to prevent a blockade to build up near Tsuen Wan Station that would reduce service delivery

Technicians later found a bead trapped at the door guide and suspected that it caused the door malfunction

Moments later, a passengers’ belonging was nipped outside the train door when he rushed into the train at Kwai Fong. This triggered the platform doors’ optical sensor to stop the train in an emergency and caused some congestions
