向來各外國商人止准在廣州一港口貿易，上年在江南曾經議明，如蒙大皇帝恩准西洋各外國商人一體赴福州、廈門、寧波、上海四港口貿易，英國毫無靳惜，但各國既與英人無異，設將來大皇帝有新恩施及各國，亦應准英人一體均沾，用示平允；但英人及各國均不得藉有此條，任意妄有請求，以昭信守。
ARTICLE VIII. (Treaty of the Bogue)
a. The Emperor of China having been graciously pleased to grant, to all foreign Countries, whose Subjects, or Citizens, have hitherto traded at Canton the privilege of resorting for purposes of Trade to the other, four Ports of Fuchow, Amoy, Ningpo and Shanghai, on the same terms as the English,
b. it is further agreed, that should the Emperor hereafter, from any cause whatever, be pleased to grant, additional privileges or immunities to any of the subjects or Citizens of such Foreign Countries, the same privileges and immunities will be extended to and enjoyed by British Subjects;
c. but it is to be understood that demands or requests are not, on this plea, to be unnecessarily brought forward.

咩叫「不平等條約」？就係中國人簽完約想反悔，就叫做「不平等條約」。
至於佢地強迫人地簽的？在中國人眼中，這叫「與生俱來」、「自古以來」的「公義」，如乾隆帝「十全武功」

大清國於1792年入侵踞喀（尼泊爾），強迫對方歸降，中國人稱為「十全武功」；64年後1856年踞喀得到英國人幫助，打敗清軍簽和約，中國人稱為「不平等條約」
