鳴炮儀式在白金漢宮對開的綠園舉行，皇家炮兵鳴放四十一響禮炮，祝賀菲臘親王96歲壽辰，吸引大批民眾圍觀。

英國王室早前宣布，菲臘親王將於今年八月全面卸下王室職務。白金漢宮指這是菲臘親王的個人決定，並獲得英女王支持。

The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery rode their horses and gun carriages across the Parade Ground to stage the salute
